Edappadi K Palaniswami defends ties with BJP government, hits out at Congress
Chief Minister Edappadi K Palaniswami on Saturday strongly defended his ties with the BJP government at the Centre and said he has adopted a cordial approach with the Union government for the welfare of Tamil Nadu.

Palaniswami also launched a scathing attack on the Congress and TNCC president S Thirunavukkarasar and charged the national party with abetting the corruption of the DMK at the Centre itself.
Addressing a public meeting at Tambaram, he also defended the government’s measures for dengue control, the Chief Minister said the Opposition had picked up the issue since they could not find any fault with the administration.Â
He also cited the days of power outages during the DMK regime and said the AIADMK government was providing uninterrupted electricity to the people. he also said that the percentage of students going for higher education which was 21 per cent during the DMK government had gone up to 44.3 per cent, he said.
