Madurai leads race for AIIMS: Ila Ganesan

While addressing the media in Madurai, Ganesan said, during his interaction with Union Minister for Health and Family Welfare, JP Nadda, he had unofficially asked him about where AIIMS hospital would be located in Tamil Nadu. He informed that Nadda had replied that unofficially, Madurai is leading the race for setting up AIIMS at Tamil Nadu. 

Nadda had also told him that though the Central government has preferences, it is the state government which should decide about the right place for the hospital. 

When asked about actor Kamal Haasan’s tweet about GST, Ganesan replied that it shows the level of maturity of people like Kamal Hassan. “Before passing a comment about anything, they should analyse the situation thoroughly,” he said. He also said that even BJP leaders said that demonetisation and GST will not have immediate impact but in the longer run, it will have very good impact for the country.
