MK Stalin slams Tamil Nadu government on 3-language formula

Referring to media reports suggesting that the state education department officials were considering the three-language policy based module given by NCERT, Stalin said the ruling party, which has ‘Anna’, a staunch opponent of Hindi imposition who established two language policy in TN half a century ago, in its name, was going soft on the Centre’s attempts to impose Hindi. 

The ruling AIADMK was facilitating imposition of Hindi in TN even as neighbouring Kerala, Karnataka, Telangana, West Bengal and Maharastra were giving priority to their mother tongue, Stalin alleged, adding that he was led to suspect if the Edappadi Palaniswami government was welcoming the Centre’s attempts to impose three-language policy on TN. 

Claiming that the government was trying to let down the people, as did it on NEET issue, Stalin said the DMK was not against any language and the state has enough Hindi Prachar Sabha branches for people to learn Hindi privately. 

DMK was the only against the imposition of Hindi through government schools, the leader of Opposition said, strongly condemning the AIADMK regime for not staunchly opposing the efforts of the BJP led Centre to facilitate Hindi dominance.
