Tamil software - II, revamped website Tamilvu.org launched
Chief Minister Edappadi K Palaniswami launched a Tamil software pack – II developed by Tamil Virtual Academy and the academy’s revamped website (www.tamilvu.org), scores of infrastructure facilities in different parts of the state through video conferencing on Wednesday.

The software pack has a total of 5 utilities and can be downloaded from the academy’s website directly. He also launched a digital archive of various artifacts relating to Tamil language and race, which are of archaeological importance, an e-library and TNGeA’s e-newsletter, among other things. The function included inauguration of various school buildings constructed at a cost of Rs 173 crore in different parts of the state and Rs 85.78 crore worth buildings of Information Technology department.
Green Awards distributed: The Chief Minister also distributed green awards for district collectors rewarding their efforts in environment protection for the corresponding years 2014, 2015 and 2016. The then collectors of Dharmapuri, Theni, Coimbatore, Erode, Nilgiris, Karur, Namakkal, Tiruvannamalai, for the respective years were felicitated with the award given away by the Tamil Nadu Pollution Control Board.
