    Sasikala to return to prison today as five-day parole concludes

    On the last day of parole, sidelined AIADMK general secretary VK Sasikala visited Global Hospital to meet her husband M Natarajan, who underwent liver and kidney transplant and enquired about his health.

    As usual, party functionaries and cadres supporting her queued up on either side of the road and greeted her by scattering flowers and shouting slogans. Some of the cadre stopped her vehicle and asked Sasikala to name their children. She named two girl children as Jayashree and Jayalalithaa and two baby boys as Ramachandran and Jayakumar (the name of Jayalalithaa’s elder brother).

    As the five-day parole period ended on Wednesday, and she would leave for Bengaluru Parappana Agrahara prison on Thursday morning.

    On the last day of her visit to the hospital, Natarajan was still unable to speak with his wife since he had undergone a tracheostomy. Sasikala who visited the hospital, was accompanied by her relatives Krishnapriya, and Jey Anand. She stopped the car and worshipped at front of the Varasiddhi Vinayagar temple in Kotturpuram where Jayalalithaa used to worship often. 

    When her vehicle approached the hospital entrance, party functionaries showered flowers on her vehicle and greeted her. She had a discussion with the doctors on Natarajan’s health. She had stuck to the parole conditions and did not meet political functionaries or MLAs supporting her during the five days of parole.

    Legislator Thaniyarasu, belonging to Kongu Ilaignar Peravai, said the MLAs, including himself, had not met her, since they did not want to embarrass her when the parole conditions had clearly stipulated that she should not meet political functionaries or entertain their visits to her residence or hospital.
