If alive, Annadurai will be in BJP, says Muralidhar Rao
If former chief minister CN Annadurai, who disliked dynasty politics were alive, he would have joined the BJP and not the DMK, said BJP National General Secretary Muralidhar Rao at Tirunelveli.
Madurai
Muralidhar Rao addressed the gathering at Jawahar Ground in an event organised by the party in which cadre from various political parties joined the national party. “You will have a bright future in Tamil Nadu in the BJP,” said Rao, who also added that all political parties except the BJP are witnessing a downfall in the state. “DMK working president MK Stalin is weak without his father M Karunanidhi by his side,” Rao said.
He equated Stalin with Rahul Gandhi and said, “Stalin should not forget that Rahul has been a failure in Uttar Pradesh, Bihar and Gujarat.” He even hinted that their alliance would face the same plight in the state as well. He dared Stalin to see who and which party is following the words of iconic Tamil poet Tiruvalluvar, and said it is the BJP and not them.
“The Dravidian parties, which had been in power from 1967 to 2017, have given nothing to the state, but corruption,” he added. For his part, Union Minister Pon Radhakrishnan said that in the last 50 years the state had not witnessed any progress and had fallen behind in all social indicators. He also said that the BJP would soon come to power in the state. Earlier, a few hundred members from various parties joined the BJP.
