EPS, OPS good actors than Rajini, Kamal: Vijayakanth
DMDK leader Vijayakanth on Saturday met Governor Banwarilal Purohit and submitted a petition asking him to order a floor test for Chief Minister Edappadi K Palaniswami. Speaking to media, he took a dig at the CM and his deputy O Panneerselvam by calling them better actors than Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan. “The two actors could not act on public platforms,” he quipped.

He expressed hope that the Governor would act on his petition. He also ruled out alliance with any other party in the local body elections. Vijayakanth, in his petition, pointed out that the Governor had promised to discharge his duties in a neutral manner within the bounds of Constitution.
Alleging that the state government did not have stability, he said the Governor should take steps to convene the Assembly, so that the Chief Minister could prove his majority. He also said the functioning of the government has been paralysed since the local body elections have not been held and charged the ruling party members with showing interest only in safeguarding their posts for selfish gains.
He also accused that no new schemes had been announced in the last one year and the government is deceiving the people without taking up any public works. The state is facing problems of dengue infections as also deterioration of law and order, Vijayakanth noted.
