Kamal meets fans, triggers speculations

With Kamal announcing his decision to enter politics a few days ago, speculation on the announcement of his political party has been doing the rounds. 

However, sources said that Wednesday’s discussion at the actor’s office was about the welfare activities that should be carried out ahead of his birthday on November 7.

Kovai R Thangavelu, who oversees the activities of Kamal Haasan Narpani Iyakkam, told DTNext, “Members of the Narpani Iyakkam from various districts came to Chennai on Wednesday to meet Kamal sir. We had a discussion on the activities that are supposed to be carried out ahead of his birthday.” 

Speculation is rife that Kamal would announce his decision of floating a party on his birthday but Thangavelu dismissed it and said, “We are having an event on November 7 in Chennai. But that has nothing to do with politics. For now, Kamal sir is creating the base and is in talks with several people. Once a platform is set up, he will make an announcement on the formation of the party.
