Man rejected by Kerala hospital treated in Tamil Nadu

Rajendran of Ariyalur in Tamil Nadu was working in Kuttipuram in Malappuram in Kerala and staying along with his friends in a rented house. 

After one of his friends attacked Rajendran with a sickle, allegedly under the influence of liquor on Saturday, he suffered deep injury in his leg. 

Another friend noticed Rajendran lying in an unconscious state and took him to Kuttipuram taluk hospital. Doctors there asked him to take the injured man to the Thrissur government hospital. 

However, doctors there refused to provide treatment, saying that the injury was deep and they did not have any facility for treatment. They wanted him to be taken to the Kozhikode Medical College hospital, police quoting Raghavan, son of Rajendran, said. Rajendran met the same fate in Kozhikode also, police said. 

Later, he was taken to Coimbatore on Sunday and admitted to Coimbatore Medical College Hospital. Police said that doctors here are giving him treatment and taking good care of him.
