Speaking to reporters, Thirumavalavan, who welcomed the inquiry commission under a retired High Court Judge A Arumugasamy said, “The ministers have been making too many contrasting statements and the public are still confused over them and so the commission should make a transparent inquiry with all the ministers to clear the air.”
Stating that he had not met Jayalailithaa while she was at the hospital, Thirumavalavan said, however he was briefed about the treatment by Lok Sabha Deputy Speaker M Thambidurai and O Panneerselvam but, the ministers are trying to take some political gain on the death of
Jayalalithaa.
“It is false, and the inquiry should be transparent and, the report should be submitted within six months,” Thirumavalavan said.
Meanwhile, he said that the law and order in the state should be maintained to keep track of Dalits, who are falling as victims of crimes.
“Bharathidasan Institute of Management that is operating autonomously is not carrying out admissions a per the procedures of the Bharathidasan University and the reservation policy has been totally neglected, for which necessary action should be initiated,” he added.
