    The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam (TTD) has made special arrangements for devotees coming from Tamil Nadu to attend the Brahmotsavam-2017, which is starting from Saturday.

    Addressing a pre-Brahmotsavam media conference at the Annamaiah Bhavan here, TTD Executive Officer Anil Kumar Singhal said that to facilitate devotees from Tamil Nadu in the holy month of Purattasi, divya darshan tokens for September 23 and 30 and also Garuda Seva day have been suspended. The TTD has also reduced advance booking of rooms and Rs 300 Darshan tickets. 

    About 4000 rooms would be made available on a first come-first-served basis. The Devasthanam is fully geared up to receive devotees from across the country for the celestial event. TTD will provide the devotees hassle-free, comfortable darshan and stay besides a memorable spiritual and bhakti experience, Singhal said. 

    Singhal said all efforts would be made to provide Moola Virat darshan for devotees inside the temple and a grand spectacle of Vahana Seva on the Mada streets to all devotees. 

    “We have put up 30 large digital screens (19 on the Mada streets and 11 outside) for the celestial event and also a live HD coverage by the SVBC (Sri Venkateswara Bhakthi Channel) for benefit of all those on Mada street galleries, elsewhere in Tirumala and globally,” the EO said. 

    Nearly 7,000 parking spaces have been created for four-wheelers, besides 2,500 more near Alipiri as contingency. Ghat roads and the footpaths also will be open throughout the night for Brahmotsavam and on the main event of Garuda Seva day, even the Srivari Mettu will remain open. 

    “We anticipate around 4 lakh pilgrims to come for Garuda Seva, he informed. Singhal said fool-proof security has been put in place.
