Dinakaran conspiring with DMK to topple govt: Deepa
The late Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa’s niece Deepa here on Wednesday charged that TTV Dinakaran, who was isolated from the party by Jayalalithaa has been conspiring with the DMK to destroy AIADMK and has been planning to topple the government. She also said that those who converged at the Tiruchy meeting were DMK cadres as he is not capable of mobilising such a large crowd.

Responding to a query on Dinakaran, who organised a mega rally in Tiruchy, claiming that the AIADMK cadre are with him, Deepa said, “They were mostly DMK cadres. Dinakaran was removed from the party by Jayalalithaa. Any real AIADMK man cannot think of dissolving the government which has an absolute majority. The BJP has been playing a master role to abolish the AIADMK ideology. So, to put an end to all these, the government has to be dissolved and democracy revived in the state,” Deepa said.
Stating that the Governor has been working under the Centre and executing the Centre’s orders, Deepa said, “If the Governor has been discharging his duties properly, he should have ordered for a floor test.”
Charging that both, EPS-OPS faction and TTV Dinakaran faction are playing politics with the death of Jayalalithaa, Deepa said they have been asking for inquiry commission to probe the death of Jayalalithaa. “The inquiry should be transparent. We need to know what happened to Jayalalithaa all of a sudden? Why Sasikala and her family had not released any details about the treatment and health condition. How she died all of a sudden when she was getting all right? Why haven’t they allowed me to meet her?” Deepa went on to question the government.
Later, she visited the family members of Anitha in Kuzhumur, Ariyalur, and handed over a cheque for Rs 1 lakh to her father Shanmugam. Subsequently, she told reporters that NEET should be withdrawn. Due to the negligence of both state and Centre, Anitha had lost her life.
She also said that her party would contest the local body polls in the assembly elections.
