Relief for Dinakaran, Senthil from arrest till October 4
The Madurai Bench of Madras High Court, on Tuesday, gave relief for the side-lined AIADMK leader TTV Dinakaran, and actor Senthil, from getting arrested till October 4 on the complaint filed by Tiruchirapalli MP, Kumar.
Madurai
Actor Senthil, who sided with Dinakaran, had vehemently criticised Kumar, at a press meet at Chennai recently and based on that, Kumar had filed a complaint at Tiruchy Police Commissioner office alleging that Senthil had threatened and abused him.
Acting on the complaint, Tiruchy City Crime Branch (CCB) police had booked a case under four sections against Sentil and Dinakaran.Â
Following the case, Senthil filed a plea at the Madras High Court stating that the case filed against him was not properly investigated and it was filed with ulterior motives. He also said that he had addressed the media in Chennai but the case was filed at Tiruchy.Â
Senthil had also prayed to the court to dismiss the case filed against him and Dinakaran and also requesting to stop the police from arresting them. When the plea was heard by Judge SS Sundar, he had granted stay to Tiruchy police from arresting Dinakaran and Senthil till October 4 and posted the next hearing of the case the same day.
