Demonstrations in several parts of Tiruchy

In Tiruchy, the students of St Joseph’s College, Bishop Heber College, Urumu Dhanalakshmi College, EVR Periyar College and a few other engineering colleges staged a demonstration and later, a sit in protest in their respective college premises.

They raised slogans against the state and Centre. They also demanded justice for the death of Anitha. While in Thanjavur, the students staged a rally and protest near Railady, in Perambalur, the students gathered on the main roads and demanded to scrap NEET that affected the rural students. They urged the state government to take decisive steps to get exemption from NEET this year itself. 

Similarly, protests were held at Nagapattinam, Pudukkottai, Tiruvarur, Karur and Ariyalur.
