Minister’s phone talk praising Sasikala, TTV Dinakaran goes viral

The minister had claimed that no one except Sasikala can replace party supremo and former CM J Jayalalithaa. He had also stressed that the combined factions of AIADMK never wanted to lose her (Sasikala) at any cost. The conversation had been going viral from Tuesday morning all over the state. 

Vellamandi Natarajan, noted for his calmness and polite speeches, has been going beyond his nature in recent days especially after Dinakaran started removing the office-bearers one after the other. 

On Sunday, Natarajan, who was attending wedding functions in Tiruchy and Pudukkottai along with the Chief Minister Edappadi K Palaniswami, had charged that Dinakaran had no right to remove either him or anyone as he was no one in the party and was kept away from the party for over a decade by Jayalalithaa.

Questioning Dinakaran as to why he had not used Sasikala’s name and portraits in the RK Nagar bypoll campaign, Natrajan said that Dinakaran was aware that people hated Sasikala. Natrajan had also supported the resolution effecting the removal of Sasikala and Dinakaran, which was passed at a meeting of functionaries of the OPS and EPS factions in Chennai on Monday. 

Through the conversation, it could be understood that the caller was close to the minister. When the caller, who introduces himself to Natarajan as TTV Dinakaran Peravai organiser and running a small journal, asked him why he had slammed Dinakaran and Sasikala in the open meeting where, the Chief Minister and other leaders were present to which Natarajan justified his speech saying that he had no option but to use a few words against the duo (Sasikala and Dinakaran) to impress the Chief Minister. 

The caller continued that the people were angry with Sasikala so her portrait and name were not used during the RK Nagar bypoll campaign. To this, Natarajan says, “I still have respect for Chinnamma. Chinnamma is the person who can replace Amma and no one should misuse her name for their self development.”
