40 MLAs are with us, claims Divakaran

Speaking on the sidelines of a private function in Kumbakonam on Wednesday, Divakaran charged the Governor with administering the oath to O Panneerselvam was unfair. “Even after being aware that the EPS, led tainted government is a minority government, the Governor should not have administered the oath to OPS,” Divakaran said and added that the minority government can never prove its majority.

Meanwhile, he claimed that there are 40 MLAs with them and even a few present ministers have been approaching them and appealing them to give support to their government. “The main agenda is to remove both EPS and OPS and make the speaker Dhanapal as the CM and induct educated youth in the cabinet. This will happen soon,” Divakaran noted.

Refusing the information about Sasikala going out of the prison, Divakaran asked whether the Kannadigas will spare her when they see her outside. He also claimed that Sasikala is unsafe in the prison in Karnataka. In the meantime, Divakaran claimed that the idea of DMK to weaken their faction will not work out well.

Dhanapal refuses to comment: When asked about the latest development of Divakaran offering the CM post, Speaker Dhanapal, who was at Tiruchy airport, refused to respond to the query. He also said that a Speaker can not speak politics and left the spot.
