Stalin not a legal expert, says OPS
Reacting to the comments of DMK working president MK Stalin on the state’s move to convert the late chief minister J Jayalalithaa’s residence in Poes Garden into a memorial, former chief minister and AIADMK (PTA) leader O Panneerselvam said, “Stalin is not a legal expert to comment on the issue.”
Madurai
Speaking to reporters at Rajapalayam in Virudhunagar district on Sunday, OPS said that there is a step forward in the merger of two factions and the process is way smoother than expected. “There is no hindrance in the merger and the people and the party cadre will receive the good news in a day or two,” said Panneerselvam.
After the delay in merger, Panneerselvam had gone to his native temple of Rasathi Amman at Lakshmiyapuram Puthur near Srivilliputhur.
When asked about Stalin’s comment that there would be legal problems in converting Veda Nilayam, the house of Jayalalithaa, into a memorial, Panneerselvam replied that Stalin is no legal expert to comment on the issue and walked away.
Then Panneerselvam reached Madurai airport from Srivillputhur by road to fly back to Chennai to attend a party meeting scheduled for Monday. But, he refused to talk to the media at Madurai airport. Former ministers K P Munusamy and Natham R Viswanathan accompanied him.
