    Two history-sheeters killed to avenge abduction

    In a shocking incident, two history-ssheeters were murdered by a gang of five who were earlier reportedly abducted by the duo, on Thursday. The incident came to light on Friday morning after all the five surrendered before the Krishnagiri district police, with deadly weapons they had used for the murders, and confessed to the crime.

    The bodies of the duo M Barath (25) and A Manjunath alias Boogi (26) both hailing from Kothapalli village close to Bagalur near Hosur, in Krishnagiri District, were found with multiple deep cut injuries all over their bodies in a tank at Dhathathiripuram village near Bagalur on Friday morning.

    According to police, the duo has murder, attempt to murder, waylaying and bank robbery attempt cases against them at Bengaluru and Sarjapur in Karnataka and in Hosur. The gang that confessed to murdering them was identified as Suresh (28) and Harish (28) of Kodiyalam, Muniraj (28) of Kakkanur and Yashwanth (20) and Madhusudhan (28) of Eechangur.

    Police sources quoted the gang as confessing that on Thursday Barath and Manjunath abducted realtors Suresh and Harish. They claimed that the duo took them to a secluded building close to Sembaranahalli and demanded Rs 10 lakh to release them. They also threatened to murder the abducted persons on failing to do so.

    With the abducted duo claiming that they don’t have money, the abductors asked them to make their friends come over there.

    Based on calls made by Suresh and Harish Muniraj, Yashwanth and Madhusudhan came there. They too were tied with ropes. While this incident reportedly took place on Thursday evening, during the late hours of the day, the abductors had gone to a nearby liquor outlet, when the abducted persons managed to free themselves. They decided to murder the abductors as they had threatened to murder the(abducted persons if they tried to escape.

    As Barath and Manjunath returned drunk, the gang attacked them with deadly weapons, leaving them dead. Later, they abandoned their bodies in a tank and surrendered to the police. Bodies of the historysheeters were sent to Hosur GH for post-mortem.
