No marriage buzz at Irom’s house
When questioned, Deshmond refused to divulge details about the marriage.
Madurai
Though the marriage of noted Human Rights Activist Irom Sharmila is scheduled on Thursday, there are no signs of the function as conspicuous silence surrounded her house, on Wednesday.
After Irom Sharmila ended her 16-year-long hunger strike and decided to marry her British boyfriend, Deshmond Coutinho, she had moved to Kodaikanal. After several considerations and change of dates her marriage was finally fixed on Wednesday.
However, the marriage was postponed by a day and there were no visible signs of any celebrations at her house.
When questioned, Deshmond refused to divulge details about the marriage.
He said that answers to all questions will be available on Thursday morning at the subregistrar office at Kodaikanal.
