Talking to reporters after appearing before the court in connection with the FERA case, TTV Dinakaran said the party had no links with the government.
Stating that a few ministers were trying to take over the party through back door, he said the party was more important for him than the government.
"The government is like a glass bowl...I should not be held responsible if they break it," Dinakaran warned.
Sending a clear message that he would not hesitate to crack the whip, TTV Dinakaran said if some of the ministers, who were airing critical remarks against him, deviate from the path laid by late Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa, then they have to face the consequences.
Referring to State Fisheries and Finance Minister D Jayakumar branding him as 'Ettappar' (betrayer), Dinakaran retorted “If he stands before the mirror he will know who is the Ettappar”.
He also recalled that it was Party General Secretary Sasikala who had made him the Fisheries Minister.
