    BJP leaders lash out at DMK during rally in Chennai

    BJP held a demonstration urging the government to implement total prohibition, to conduct civic polls and improve education system in all the government schools. The protest saw prominent faces including national leaders like National Youth Wing Leader and MP Poonam Mahajan and national general secretary P Muralidhar Rao, National secretary H Raja and state BJP president Tamilisai Soundararajan.

    Mahajan said that the day is not too far for the BJP to govern and fulfill the dreams of the people in the state. “The Centre is fully cooperating with the Tamil Nadu government and issues faced by fishermen are keenly watched and sorted out.” The Maharashtra MP also added that she would be able to speak in Tamil when she comes here next time.

    In his speech, Muralidhar Rao said, “The BJP’s impact in the state has led to development. Needless to say, we will soon rule the state.” Hitting out at DMK working president MK Stalin, the BJP national general secretary said, “If Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi gives some statements, Stalin is also echoing the same things. So, Rahul has become a tuition teacher for Stalin.” Stating that the youth in large numbers from the state were connected with Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the BJP leader stressed that only Modi-led government could find out solutions for all kind of issues in Tamil Nadu.

    State BJP president Tamilisai Soundararajan exuded confidence stating that the BJP would soon emerge as the biggest party in the state. “We are ready to face elections anytime. Wherever Rahul Gandhi makes election campaign in any state, he faces defeat.

    But, our leader Amit Shah returns with victory,” she said.

    It may be noted that the BJP’s youth wing had planned to organize a rally from Chepauk guest house to Fort St George. Since permission was denied, the organizers turned the rally into a demonstration and they set up a stage near Guest House. Over 2,500 cadreacross the state participated in the event. At 2.15 pm, Tamilisai Soundararajan met Chief Minister Edappadi K Palaniswami and submitted a memorandum
