Election Commission may act against CM for forgery
The Election Commission proposes to initiate criminal action against Chief Minister Eddapadi K Palaniswami led AIADMK faction if the latter’s explanation regarding the complaint of forged affidavits was not satisfactory, according Election Commission sources.

It may be recalled that former chief minister O Panneerselvam led AIADMK(PTA) faction supporters Manoj Pandian and MP V Maitreyan submitted 274 affidavits of the EPS faction showing differences in names and signatures on Thursday. They also were ready to submit such affidavits in thousands if necessary, Manoj Pandian had informed the EC.
Meanwhile, party deputy general secretary TTV Dinakaran supporters are now upbeat, following the leader’s proposed tour of the entire state next month. The tour will start either from Theni or Madurai, sources revealed. Madurai will be the choice if the state government sanctions the group permission to install statues of AIADMK leaders MGR and Jayalalithaa. The permission though applied for is yet to be granted.
