Seeman takes a dig at Rajinikanth, likens him to Deepavali cracker

Speaking to reporters here, Seeman said, while parole was given to Sanjay Dutt, who was accused of smuggling arms, Perarivalan accused in Rajiv Gandhi assassination case was being denied parole to meet his ailing father. He said both the erstwhile Congress-led UPA and the present BJP led NDA have been adopting the same policy with regard to release of the seven accused in the case, including Perarivalan. 

Responding to another query, Seeman said, “There is no need to look for alternatives to Karunanidhi or Jayalalithaa and instead there is a need to find leaders like Kamarajar and Kakkan.” He further said that instead of good actors entering politics, we need leaders like Jeevanandam and Singaravelar to guide us. 

Meanwhile, he slammed actor Rajinikanth saying, “He is a big Deepavali cracker that never burst. Political parties in the state will teach him a lesson. I have already warned the actor from entering politics.” 

Not sparring the ruling party in his speech, Seeman quipped that after the death of former chief minister J Jayalalithaa, the government in the state has almost become a BJP government.
