Parents protest MLA’s attempt to by-pass school upgradation
Parents staged a protest against Manapparai MLA for his attempts to upgrade a school in his village instead of a school awaiting upgradation for years even after remitting their contributions.

According to the agitating parents, there are more than 180 students studying in the Government Middle School in Pambampatti, Manapparai and the public had paid their contribution of Rs 1 lakh to the government in 2014 and have been waiting for the upgradation of the school since then.
Since, the upgradation has been put on hold, the students, who completed their middle school education, have either dropped out or forced to go to the Government High School at Poolampatti and Karungulam, which are around eight km away from their village.
Meanwhile, the public learnt that the Manapparai MLA Chandrasekar has been trying to upgrade the school at his native village of Paluvanchi. The residents gathered at DEO’s office at Vaiyyampatti and staged a protest.
