Murder case witness hacked to death

The deceased was drinking tea in a shop in Palakkarai when a gang of four unidentified miscreants arrived in an autorickshaw and hacked him to death. The police suspect it to be a murder for revenge as the victim was a prime witness in the murder case of his son. 

According to witnesses at the Gandhi Market, M Annadurai (53) who was running a petty shop at Varaganeri, had come in the morning to his regular tea shop on Monday too. Just as he sat to drink his tea, a gang of four came in an auto and assaulted him with lethal weapons. 

Annadurai fell down in a pool of blood. The onlookers informed the Gandhi Market police who took Annadurai to GH, where he was declared brought dead. 

On investigation, it was found that M Annadurai was a prime witness in the murder of his son Prabhakaran last year, which occurred in front of his house near Thennur.
