Spot testing of milk in Madurai
In order to test for adulteration, the Tamil Nadu Food Safety and Drug Administration Department along with Madurai district administration has planned to hold milk testing camps in public places, from Thursday.

Officials at Madurai district administration said that these camps were planned aafter Dairy Minister K Rajendra Balaji’s charge that chemicals are mixed in milk for preservation. The first camp would be conducted at K.Pudhur bus stand on Thursday from 8 am till 12 noon.Â
Public can bring milk samples and get them tested on the spot. The quality of milk and details of chemicals added would be informed. The second camp will be at Melur Taluk office on June 12. Three other camps are planned after that.Â
