Stalin warns BJP against ‘saffronisation’
DMK working president Stalin rebuked the Centre for the slew of poll promises ranging from retrieving black money to provision of employment. Criticising the Centre for its autocratic actions like imposition of Hindi and beef ban, he warned the Centre not to provoke its subjects to take up another struggle for Independence.

“It is only striving to remove the secular identity from India’s character. BJP might have the majority, that doesn’t mean that it can do whatever it wants,” he said and added that it is working towards destruction of the Opposition parties.
“BJP is installing religious leaders as head of the states and is on the road to saffronisation,” Stalin said. “The anti-secular stand of the Centre has united the opposition, and we will stand united in protecting the country,” he thundered.
If Karunanidhi was active, he would have been the first one to raise the voice in matters concerning secularism and state. Karunanidhi would have readied us for this battle, Stalin noted.
