He said that in the year 2013, MKU was ranked in the 9th position out of total 785 universities in India as per the rankings released by Ministry of Human Resources Development, but in the current academic year they had slipped to 77th rank. He would work hard to make it one of the top 200 universities in the world.

He said that a new rule of ‘one man one post’ would be introduced to reduce the administrative burden. A notification regarding the same would also be released soon, the VC said.

The convocation would also be conducted as soon as possible said the VC. When asked about a case pending against him, he replied that a section of media is propagating that there is a case pending against him and he was not qualified to hold the post of VC. The case was a foisted one and even the government had given him a clean chit during the appointment. He had scored 8.8 out of 10 and was way ahead of other competitors who had attended the interview.
