Velumani flays Rajini for censuring government

He asked the actor to first be a man of his word before venturing into a fault-finding mission. 

“The government is functioning well and we have a Chief Minister, who is visiting across the state, listening to the grievances of people and redressing them,” Velumani said and added that the actor did not raise his voice for his film fraternity when they were in trouble. 

He said that the actor failed to support a fellow actor Sathyaraj, when his film faced some trouble in Karnataka recently. 

Meanwhile, a diehard Rajinikanth fan in Coimbatore had threatened to end his life in front of the actor’s house or his marriage hall at Chennai, if he was not invited to click a picture with the superstar. 

The fan P Devaraj said that he has been serving the needy in Rajini’s name for the last two decades and he was deeply upset that organisers failed to invite him to the fans meet held after eight years.
