He also said that in addition to free laptops, free wi-fi connectivity will also be provided for Class 11 students to help them know what is happening across the globe. He also said that they are considering introducing computers from Class 6 in the next two years.

The minister expressed confidence that students would overcome their fear of writing competitive exams introduced by the Union Government by taking tests three years in a row (Class 10, 11 and 12). 

Sengottaiyan also said that they would introduce a three-colour uniform pattern for government school students from the academic year 2018-19 and added that Rs 2.13 crore has been set aside for providing civil service coaching for Plus Two in all the 32 districts.
