Kids enjoy fruits of hard labour
While the majority of students in the state celebrate the Class 12 results, a few unsung students from Tiruchy including former child labourers and visually challenged students have emerged toppers.

The Government Girls Higher Secondary school for blind, Puthur, Tiruchy has maintained 100 per cent pass percentage as all the 25 students who appeared for the exams were successful. Among them, three girls secured above 1,000 including Santharuby (1,070), Elakkia (1,032) and Radhika (1,009). Apart from this, as many as 23 former child labourers, who were rescued by the Child Labour Elimination and Effective Rehabilitation Society (CHEERS), cleared the Class 12 examination. Among them, R Ramprabhu who was rescued from a construction site in 2007 had scored 1,059 marks.
