Unjavruthi bhajan was held from the house at New Street in Tiruvarur in the early hours where the saint poet-composer Thyagaraja was born. The portrait of Thyagaraja was taken in a procession with the students of Tiruvarur Government Music school playing the nagaswaram and thavil.

After reaching the Kamalambal shrine, musicians rendered Pancharatna Keertanas, which were composed by Thyagaraja.

During the music festival organised by Sri Kanchi Kamakoti Peetam Carnatic Trinity Seva Samithi, that commenced on April 28, several leading musicians, including Sheik Mehboob Subani (Nathaswaram), Rajesh Vaidhya (Veena), Keezvelur NG Ganesan (Nagaswaram), U Rajesh (Mandolin), Dr. Sirkazhi G Sivachidamabaram, Mambalam Sisters Vijayalakhsmi-Chithra, OS Arun and Mahathi (vocal) paid their musical tributes.

Similarly, Pancharatna keertanas were rendered at the ancestral house of Thyagarajar located on New Street in Tiruvarur by the Sri Kanchi Kamakodi Peeta trust.
