Minister Jayakumar replies to KP Munusamy
Reiterating that the Sasikala family were sought to be removed from the party due to the wishes of party cadres, state finance minister D Jayakumar said referring to the charges of former minister KP Munusamy of the AIADMK(PTA) who addressed the media on Thursday.

Jayakumar added the rival faction creating new conditions would only block the proposed talks. After it was announced that Sasikala family would be ousted, demanding withdrawal of the affidavits filed by Sasikala and her nephew TTV Dinakaran with the election commission was not a solution. This was in obvious reference to Munusamy’s demand that Sasikala and Dinakaran’s affidavits should be withdrawn from the election commission and Sasikala’s family members numbering 30 should all be shown the door.
