Heat wave advances holiday for schools
The state government on Tuesday announced that schools would remain shut for summer vacations from April 21 due to the rising temperatures. The date for the summer holidays for higher and higher secondary schools was scheduled to begin on April 21.

The government advanced the date for closure for primary and upper primary schools from April 28 to April 21 after being requested to do so by concerned parents.Â
The revised date will also apply to CBSE and ICSE schools. School managements have been directed to refrain from conducting special classes during the summer holidays
