The farmers and traders at the Uzhavar Sandhais on the Cowley Brown Road at RS Puram and Vadavalli also staged a demonstration at the entrance of the markets to let the public realise, why they were observing Tuesday as a no sale day. They said that they would also intensify their protest, if needed, in support of the struggling farmers of Tamil Nadu.

At Salem, State representatives of the Tamil Nadu Milk Producers Association extended support to the State wide bandh call given by the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) in support of farmers struggling at Delhi. The milk producers’ federation said that they would not sell milk on that day and would resort to novel protests.
