Stop interfering in government affairs, Narayanasamy tells Kiran Bedi
Pudhucherry Lt Governor Kiran Bedi should not interfere in the day-to-day affairs of the government, said Puducherry Chief Minister Narayanasamy, in Madurai, on Sunday.
Madurai
Narayanasamy visited Madurai Meenakshi Amman Temple and offered special prayers on Sunday. He later met the media and claimed that the Union Territory of Puducherry has a set of rules and regulations and the duties of Lt Governor and Chief Minister are laid out clearly.Â
But in the recent past, the Lt Governor had been interfering in government activities. She has a limit and she should not cross it. He also hinted that the Central Government is using the Lt Governor as a tool to control the elected government of Puducherry. Speaking about the all party meeting on farmers, he claimed that the meeting was convened at the right time and such meetings are necessary. He also claimed that the Central government is insulting the farmers who are protesting for more than a month at New Delhi.
The demands of farmers should be considered by the Central government and the loans obtained in public sector banks by them should be waived. In Tamil Nadu, here was a historical drought and farmers were affected badly. So the struggling farmers should be helped.Â
In Uttar Pradesh, the Chief Minister had announced loan waiver for all farmers and the same should be extended to all the farmers in the country. He said the schemes and projects that are opposed by the people should not be implemented, anyway.Â
