Around 10.30 am, the 12 deities took part in the Theerthavari at the tank and special pujas were performed.

Large number of devotees visited the Mahamaham tank and took a holy dip. They started pouring into the tank as early as 4 am. The rituals including Maha Dharpanam were performed in separate places in such a way not to pollute the tank. The water level in the tank was maintained at just one foot deep.

In order to benefit the devotees, who take a holy dip, water was being let into the tank continuously and the water quality was also checked frequently.
