PM Modi steals hearts with gift of stole

The Isha Yoga Foundation had organised an event on the occasion of Maha Shivratri in Coimbatore on Friday. Prime Minister Modi, who was the chief guest there, unveiled a 112-foot-tall statue of Adiyogi and later took to the stage to address guests who attended the event. 

During the ceremony, Jaggi Vasudev presented a stole depicting Adiyogi to Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Smitten by the colourful stole, Shilpi Tewari on Friday tweeted to the Prime Minister on his official Twitter handle, “I want that stole of @narendramodi,” along with a picture of the PM wearing it. 

Little did she know that the Prime Minister would actually take her request seriously. To her surprise, she received the stole along with an autographed printout of her original tweet from the Prime Minister the very next day.

Overwhelmed by the Prime Minister’s quick response, Shilpi wasted no time in posting about the kind gesture on Twitter. She later wrote, “Overwhelmed to receive blessings of Adiyogi from modern India’s Karmayogi, PM @narendramodi, who is covering miles daily yet hears us all! PM @narendramodi sent me this blessing because I had tweeted yesterday that I want this stole. Am I dreaming?? Along with the stole came this signed paper .. can you imagine a PM who listens to your voices and takes time to respond & personalise !! I am so stunned and overwhelmed right now that I am frozen .. can’t think how to respond. Matlab kamaal hi kar diya .” 

The Prime Minister’s gesture set social media on fire as Shilpi’s post was quickly retweeted more than two thousand times after she posted it online.
