Sasikala, kin threatening MLAs: Ex-MP

“With those letters in hand she claimed of having support of MLAS and declared herself as the next Chief Minister,” he told reporters in Salem on Tuesday. He alleged that Sasikala and her family members executed their strategy perfectly and ensured elevation of Sasikala. 

“Eighty per cent MLAs did not want to support Sasikala for the CM post. They were forced to accept her decision as she had their resignation letters,” he alleged. The ex-MP said the MLAs and ministers were left with no option but to accept Sasikala as the Chief Minister in the meeting chaired in Chennai, recently. 

Condemning the resignation of O Panneerselvam from the post of Chief Minister, he claimed that close to 70 per cent AIADMK MLAs would support him if he continued as Chief Minister.
