Stalin tells party cadre to shun pomp
DMK working president M K Stalin appealed to his party cadres to avoid putting up banners and pompous advertisements for party events.
Chennai
“When the ideals are upheld by giving up pompous ads, the support of the general public will soar, giving a new lustre to our strong party,” he said. Putting up banners on both sides of the road and on the median should be avoided, he said in a statement adding, “this is my appeal.” He said it was not wrong to put up “one or two” banners to inform the public and party men about the venue and the time of the party functions. “Even such banners should be put up ensuring that the public is not inconvenienced,” he said. Stalin also asked them to print the Tamil date according to Thiruvalluvar year.
