Pongal bonus for government staff

The A and B category employees and teachers who have worked for more than 240 days in the year, employees being paid consolidated salary, anganwadi workers, village assistants, panchayats assistants of the panchayat and rural development department, contract workers, daily wage earners and those regularised after appointment as daily wage earners would all be paid a special amount of Rs 1,000, he added.  Employees of panchayat institutions, teachers and employees in government-aided educational institutions, those under UGC and ICAR and AICTE would also be paid this amount, he added.
