Maraimalai Adigal’s works in 34 volumes to be out on January 9
The Chennai-based Tamilmann Pathippagam, committed to promoting exclusive Tamil works, will release the extraordinary works of Maraimalai Adigal in 34 volumes running to 11,472 pages in one go on January 9, 2017 to commemorate the 100th year of Thani Tamizh Movement.

Dr M Natarasan, Editor of Pudhiya Paarvai will launch the books in the presence of Tamil scholars at the Book Fair in the city. Talking to reporters here, Tamilmann Pathipagam founder Kho Ilavazhagan said the volumes in the name of Maraimalaiam would comprise details on works, speeches, diaries, and correspondence of Maraimalai Adigalar, who was hailed as the father of Thani Tamizh Movement.
The 34 volumes under various topics such as Thirukkural Aaraaichi, Maanikkavaasagarin Vara laarum Kaalamum, Thiru vaasaga Virivurai, Mullai Paattu Aaraaichiyurai, Patti napaalai Aaraaichiyurai, Ku runji Paattu Aaraaichiyurai, Sakunthalam Naadaga Aaraa ichi, Yoga Nithirai, Tholaivil Unardhal, in Tamil and ocean of wisdom, ancient and modern Tamil poets, letters of Maraimalai Adigalar, Can Hindi be the Lingua Franca of India? in English were totally priced at Rs 14,260.
Ahead of the celebrations, the entire set will be available at a special offer price of Rs 7,130. It is significant that all the works of the great Tamil scholar was being launched during the 100th year commemoration (1916-2016) of Thani Tamizh movement of Maraimalai Adigalar. The treasure of knowledge, his works since 1898, stands testimony to the exclusivity of Tamil language, Tamil race, and the land of Tamils.
The volumes under Maraimalaiam was rich with values that could shape youth for a better future and better state. His work such as Makkal Nooraandu Uyir Vaazha, Porundhum Unavum Porundhaa Unavum was a panacea for healthy body and mind and thus progress in life. Whereas Tamizhar Madham will help Tamils of different religious interests, scholars, atheists and theists realise to which sect the Tamils belong to.
“These volumes will help Tamil scholars, researchers, and professors, understand the research approach of Maraimalai Adigal,” Kho Ilavazhagan said.
