Women poisons children, dies
A 35-year-old woman committed suicide by consuming pesticides after killing her two children allegedly over a domestic quarrel.

Sources said, Rajasekar (40), a farmer of Pananthidal main road got married to Kalayarasi (35) of Thirukkarugavoor five ago and the duo have two girl children aged three and half years old and eight months old. It is said, the duo used to frequently quarrel. On Sunday afternoon, they quarrelled over a petty issue. Rajasekar left the house without having lunch and later proceeded to his field.Â
Meanwhile, dejected over the quarrel, Kalayarasi reportedly took a pesticide meant to be used for coconut trees and also fed it to her three and half year old daughter Lasiya and the eight months old infant Lakshya. The neighbours who noticed the trio in an unconscious condition rushed them to the Thanjavur Medical college hospital. Kalayarasi was admitted to Thanjavur medical college hospital and the two children were admitted to the Raja Mirasudar Government hospital. Kalayarasai died on Sunday night and her daughter  Lasiya too died on the same night. The eight-month-old infant died on Monday.  Based on a complaint by Karuppaian (60) of Tirukarugavoor, the father of the deceased Kalayarasi, Papanasam police have registered a case.
