    4 Class 9 boys stab two senior students on bus

    Four Class 9 students took the law into their hand in a moving bus at Thoothukudi and stabbed two Class 11 students in an ongoing tiff between them. The shocking incident happened on Friday morning when the students were on their way to their school. The four teens were detained and being investigated.

    “Diwakar and Aravind, studying in Class 11 at a private school at Thoothukudi were on their way to their school in a bus. Four other Class 9 students Muthuraj, Muneeswaran, Muthumariappan and Thirupathi of another school were also travelling in the same bus. A dispute erupted between the two groups of students. As the quarrel intensified, the four Class 9 students joined together and attacked the duo. Not satisfied with that they also stabbed the Class 11 students. On seeing their shocking attack, other students in the bus raised an alarm and the bus stopped. In the melee the travellers ran out of the bus.

    Immediately Muthiapuram police were informed and they reached the spot. The two injured students were in the meanwhile rushed to the Thoothukudi GH. Police took the four students and carried out an investigation. The four students said that they all belong to the same village and there used to be many disputes between them regarding seating on the bus. A similar such quarrel erupted on Thursday evening too and one of the injured in the Friday incident was said have beat one of the Class 9 students. The four had decided to attack the duo to take revenge and injured them with a knife. Police have filed an attempt to murder case under section 307 of IPC and all the four students were remanded to juvenile home.
