Sai Sudharsan, Aparajith hit double tons in TNCA league

Batting first, opener and Under-19 cricketer Sai Sudharsan struck 28 fours and three sixes during his 263-ball stay in the middle. At the MRF – Pachaiyappa’s College ‘A’ Ground, Baba Aparajith (208) also hit a double ton, guiding Jolly Rovers CC to 546 for four in its first innings against Globe Trotters SC.

Aparajith, who smashed 16 fours and eight sixes, stitched a mammoth 385 runs for the second wicket with B Anirudh Sitaram (175), who hit a century. The latter’s knock included 17 fours and a maximum. At the CPT – IP (Turf) Ground, S Guru Raghavendran (194 not out) and S Harish Kumar (114)struck tons to power India Pistons CC to 428 for six against Grand Slam CC.

Wicketkeeper-batsman N Jagadeesan (106) continued his good form in the league with a century for Vijay CC against AG’s Office RC at the IC – Guru Nanak College Ground. The host was 212 for three at close of play, in reply to the visitor’s opening innings score of 113.
