Triathlon Asian Cup on Sunday

The event returns to the city and India after two decades. In all, over 100 participants (70 men and 30 women), including 30 triathletes from different parts of the world, are expected to take part in the competition. Simultaneously, the Senior National Championship is also set to be held. About 70 participants from across the country will compete in it.

An Olympic Games and Asian Games discipline, triathlon is a combination of three sports - swimming (1.5 km), cycling (40 km) and road running (10 km). The outside area of the INS Adyar Naval establishment will be the venue for the initial sea swimming. The roads in the surrounding area will form the arena for the next two phases.
