Goa women thrash Tamil Nadu
Sanjula S Naik (86 and 3/21) came up with an all-round performance to power Goa to a big 143-run success over Tamil Nadu in the BCCI Women Under-23 Elite ‘C’ One-Day match at the TI Murugappa Cricket Ground in the city on Tuesday.

Batting first, Goa, after an initial wobble, put on 205 runs from its regulation overs. Sanjula, who stitched a 103-run fifth-wicket stand with Shindiya Naik (47), fell short of a well-deserved ton by 14 runs. Chasing 206 for victory, host Tamil Nadu surrendered meekly, getting bowled out for a paltry 62 in 28.2 overs.
