    Joy Gupta (5/24) and skipper Pradosh Ranjan Paul (140) sizzled as Tamil Nadu dominated first day’s play against Jammu & Kashmir in the Cooch Behar Trophy Under-19 Elite C four-day contest at the CDCA – Sri Ramakrishna Institutions Ground in Coimbatore on Saturday.

    Bowling first, the home side skittled out the visitor for a paltry 57, thanks to a five-wicket haul from right-arm medium pacer Joy.

    His figures read an impressive 10.1-4-24-5. In reply to Jammu & Kashmir’s tiny first innings total, Tamil Nadu was 229 for seven at stumps on Day One. Captain Pradosh led from the front, smashing a 127-ball 140. His aggressive knock was studded with 15 fours and a maximum.
