Ramesh sizzles with the ball
M Ramesh took five for 16 to enable his team Lucas TVS to record an emphatic 131-run win over Royal Enfield in the 15th Lucas TVS Thiruvallur DCA Trophy. Chasing 217 for win in 30 overs, Royal Enfield was bundled out for 85 in 19.3 overs. Earlier, Lucas’ S Karthick scored 65 while B Udayakumar remained not out on 50 to guide thier team to 216 for nine.

City I dominated the opening day’s play against Districts II in the TNCA round robin U-16 tournament on Monday. At stumps, Districts II was in a spot of bother at eight for two after City I scored 278 for six. J Karthikeyan (88), B Jeswin Bradman (76) and Manav Parakh (59) scored the bulk of the runs.
