TNPL 2018: Ruby Trichy Warriors beat VB Kanchi Veerans by 6 wickets

A breezy 69 by Bharath Shankar and handy support of 26 by skipper Baba Indrajith saw the Warriors comfortabally cross the line.

In the end, Sathiamoorty Saravanan played a useful cameo pitching in with a useful 23 to finish off the run chase with 14 balls to spare.Despite four off the last ball, Trichy Warriors wont be progressing further in the tournament.

The third over proved the most fruitful for Ruby Trichy Warriors as they got 16 runs of the over by K Deeban. Amongst the Veerans bowlers, only C Shriram was successful in scalping 2 wickets while giving away 20 runs.

Earlier in the match, VB Kanchi Veerans have managed to post a decent score, but this is definitely a below-par score on this surface. None apart from Francis Rokins who scored 43 from 29 balls really got going. 

The Trichy Warriors need to hunt this down in 9 overs to stand a chance of advancing further in the tournament. Those two sixes in the final over didn't help their cause. 

Sonu Yadav and Kannan Vignesh bagged two wickets apiece. Trichy will go hard on the bowlers right from the start during the chase.
